Grace Be Unto You Opens Men's Home

Partners Needed

There are so many people that are in need who do not know which way to turn. We can pray for them and help them in their spiritual journeys, but that is not enough.

James 2:26: For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

One of our missions here at Grace Be Unto You is to help those in need get a fresh start. Along with our other Church Ministries, we are currently opening a Men's home in Colorado Springs called "Beyond The Bars". This will be a 6 month program with the intention of helping Men get on their feet. This program is open to any man in need from all walks of life, however our focus will be for the man first coming out of prison. who do not have a way to get started. We will be receiving referrals from Prison Fellowship along with other sources.

Starting a program like this is costly. Some of the expenses are the normal costs of running any home such as rent, utilities, food, insurance, and vehicle. There will be other expenses as many of these men will have little as they come in here. Some examples are clothing, bedding, towels, personal items, etc. We need help as the Home will be supported entirely by private funding. We receive no government support. Since we are a non profit organization, all donations are tax deductible and we will provide you with a donation letter.

For more information regarding this program, or  If you would like to partner in this ministry you may donate on line through this web page or contact Pastor Bill Chancy at Grace Be Unto You Church.

Grace Be Unto You Church Partners With Prison Fellowship

An important function here at Grace Be Unto You Church is to go into prison and minister to those who are incarcerated. We are God’s children no matter what our background is or what culture we are from. In fact many of us who are on the outside are in prisons of our own and often do not even know it.

Our Church is now partnering with Prison Fellowship and Celebrate Recovery. This will allow us another opportunity to go into prisons and teach the gospel. Celebrate Recovery is a Christian 12 Step program based on the Beatitudes.

Prison Fellowship’s logo is representative of Isaiah 42:3: “A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice.” The symbol reminds us that while society may cast aside those people it deems useless and unworthy, God continues to pursue them with His steadfast love, offering forgiveness and restoration. The Food Pantry

(New Hours)

The food pantry   is open every 1st & 3rd Thursday 5:30PM-6:45PM. However Bread may available every week. Please contact the Church office to check on that.

This ministry is a very  important one, and is the heart of this Church. Most of us are one paycheck away from wondering where our next meal will come from, or being homeless. Without donations the Food Pantry cannot operate. If you would like to volunteer to help or would like to donate, you can contact our Church office at (719) 596-9076 or email us at office@gracebeuntoyou.org.

Interested in joining a Christian Recovery Support Group?

Our Christian 12 step program is taking a few weeks off. We are in the midst of partnering with Celebrate Recovery and will resume meetings in a few weeks with the new format every Friday night at 7:00 PM on the first floor of the Church, North door.

A Christian-based 12 step group's purpose is to enter the process of becoming more like Christ and also to increase our fellowship with God.

A recovery group is a safe place to share, and look for the support of other members as they all walk this walk together. A Recovery group is there to provide a path for hurting and/or addicted people to learn about Jesus Christ, and find the hope of a better life.

For more information regarding joining this support group, contact Don Wise at (719) 641-2441 or don@gracebeuntoyou.org

Pastor's Corner

Praise the Lord church, for God is good all the time!

We have come to the end of this month.  Summer is here and next month we will be celebrating Independence Day on the 4th of July.  We can celebrate Independence Day with our economy failing, with gas prices rising, with food prices rising, our farm crops are drowning, with the job market failing, the prison population is growing and our health plan is failing.

This also is an Election Year and the Year of the Olympics.  In 5 months we will be voting for a new President to govern our country.  Nobody really knows who to vote for, especially we the Christians.  And the reason for this is because we have values and standards to govern us!  These values come from our Lord and Savior.  We cannot compromise with abortion and same sex marriages.  We love the people but, we hate the sin.  So, if presidential candidates oppose what God has set into order, then we as Christians must obey God!

People are being confused about God and about entering into heaven.  Some religions believe that they can get into heaven without Christ.  Some believe Jesus is just one of the ways into heaven.  Some believe that all religions must be right and as long as we live right and do good, we will get into heaven.  For example:  Two men can marry each other and adopt children and live a happy life together, raise the children in a secure environment and it is ok.  Well, this kind of thinking is ungodly and it is not ok.  We certainly can’t get into heaven without Jesus Christ!

Floods and tornados are on the rise.  Wild fires burning and destroying all around us.  Earthquakes killing thousands of people.  More people than ever before are homeless.  Many people are without health insurance and flood insurance.  The only thing I see we can celebrate is our walk with Jesus Christ.  He is the way for all of us as being believers.  We must keep our focus on Him in all things.  He must be our daily guide through this life.

The times are going to get even harder ahead and many will suffer.  Our economy stock market will seem to crash.  Our 401k retirement funds will fall.  Disability will be on the rise with no money in the government account.  Banks will fold up.  Computers will crash.  There will be weeping and crying!
