Prison Ministry

Our prison ministry is called "New Walk."

New Walk Ministry is to help men coming out of prison, to provide housing and to empower men to seek better choices.
We can't accept all men.  Every man must go through a special process to be accepted by a board.

We set up teaching the Gospel to all men, no man is excluded from hearing or learning about Christ.
All men coming out of prison of every religion are welcome by Pastor Bill.

No crime is too great or too small. Pastor Bill believes that in speaking the truth, the Lord will do the rest.
We have a D.O.C. Chaplin volunteer.

Contact us about your loved one in prison.
We will be happy to write them and pray for them.

Isaiah 55:7
Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

We also have ministry for women in prison.

MANAGING OUR FAILURES AND SUCCESSES

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."  Joshua 1:8

We must do more than just hear, read, study or memorize scripture. We must meditate on it. To meditate on the scriptures is to think about them, turning them over in our minds, and applying them to our life's situations. The practice of meditation on the Word of God--simply thinking about it and its application to life--is a practice in which we must be open to the Holy Spirit's help. The objective of our meditation is an application which requires serious effort  for our thinking as we read and/or study scriptures and meditate on them. We would ask ourselves these questions:

  •     What does this passage teach us concerning God's will for a holy life?
  •     How does my life measure up to that scripture and specifically where and how do I fall short?
  •     What definite steps of action do I need to take towards obedience?

The most important part of this process is the specific application of the scripture to specific life situations. If we know how to worry, we already know how to meditate. Worry is a focused thinking on something negative. Meditation is a focused thinking on God's Word while having faith in the benefits it promises us. Serious reflection on God's truth is a key to answered prayers and the secret to successful living.
